Gutter Eloquence Magazine was a quarterly, online
journal of free verse poetry.
The intent of G.E.M. was to publish the best voices
of the underground lit scene--and beyond. Both new
and established poets were welcomed, but in either
case, the zine preferred high-quality, gutsy writing:
two-fisted free verse that pulls no punches!
The writers featured here are gritty, intense, real,
and unafraid to speak their minds. But these poets
are not one-dimensional. So, their work sometimes
reveals a bold individualism tempered by a touch
of vulnerability. Because we are, after all, human...
even here in the gutter.
