Gutter Eloquence Magazine is a bi-monthly, online
journal of free verse poetry. A separate print edition
will be published once annually, with Autumn as the
scheduled time of release.
The intent of G.E.M. is to publish the best voices of
the underground lit scene--and beyond. Both new
and established poets are welcome, but keep this
in mind: this zine seeks high-quality, but gutsy
writing: two-fisted free verse that pulls no punches!
The writers featured here are gritty, intense, real,
and unafraid to speak their minds. But these poets
are not one-dimensional. So, their work sometimes
reveals a bold individualism tempered by a touch
of vulnerability. Because we are, after all, human...
even here in the gutter.
In the future, it's possible that this magazine may
branch out into flash fiction and other realms...but
for now, at least, G.E.M. is all poetry, all of the time.
I hope that you enjoy it!
