Boogie Woogie

Boogie Woogie
is in my steps over
this
Jack lantern street
switch blade smile
sway to my hips

Speaking to the
corner folks
Smells of fried
rice
Italian spice
juke in the sauce
at the
bar-b-que place
On the corner of
hmmmm
Boogie woogie

"Whiskey & Wimmen" is being growled
by Mr. John Lee and
Keb Mo is preaching
'bout a "Whole Nother
Thang"
The only Kings I
bow to
are Freddie, BB,
Martin, and Albert
Dancing the been
round the block so
many times I met
myself on the
rebound
Woogie oogie

My sigh is like the
theme of
gut bucket blues
that sing
red clay dirt and back
seat romances
Shadows that wave goodbye
as long as the
woogie woogie

rolls over me
I got no complaints
Boogie woogie
woogie oogie
