a poem by Mj Taylor

love is the sailboat bobbing in our veins

tho we yawn prayers
& speak dreams like
memories

love is the sailboat
bobbing thru our veins --

souls farthermost reaching
can leave you wrinkled
frogclogged song in throat,

but w/ bellyful of rose petals
you will always ascend to
mount yr ego on a pole.

so it's solitude or static
the music in your core

let the breeze carry away which
of the two you cannot bear

or it will surely
take you.
