Dark Red Plastic

yesterday
I noticed the bottle of shampoo
she left behind in the bathroom
the kind I never use and
it stood there on the shelf
dark red plastic
glaring back at me
I should throw it away
remembering
the sweet smell of her hair
brushing against my face
the vision of her
emerging from the shower
her body so smooth
glistening in the light
