a poem by Melanie Browne (1 of 3)

I made this poem using a 1979 Mr. Boston Bartender's Guide

I am stressed out. I want to relax.
I will have a what the hell brandy
Followed by the why not cocktail
I'm an American Beauty
and need something to cut
the fog I'm the queen bee
and need to try on the crystal slipper
one last time
I am stars and stripes
I am peppermint Pattie
I am one hot toddy!
a cream fizz Pollyanna
with just a splash
of Savannah
I am quite the
eye-opener,
a hillbilly highball!
I’m the temptation
cocktail
I am hot-buttered
Renaissance
between the sheets!
stir me with ice
and sprinkle me with cinnamon
