The Death of America

The death of America
is a Kevorkian death
a suicide of infants
grown old too soon

Depraved, self-loathing
imbeciles of the 1960's
the reek of failure & the
madness of a generation

Defacing the effigies of
saints & performing
botched abortions on
the minds of the young

The death of America
is the slow ebb
of all that is holy
in a cruel & desolate land
